Last March marked a significant career shift for Joe Luchs, who left his position at Amazon to concentrate on launching a new venture. He, along with Nicole Landis Ferragonio and two other cofounders, established Datalinx AI, an innovative company aimed at transforming fragmented business data into reliable insights.
Ferragonio, previously a senior manager at Amazon Ads, followed suit in September, motivated by the desire to create independently and respond to recent changes in company policy. The pair's decision stemmed from their experiences at Amazon, where they recognized a common challenge among businesses in effectively using their internal data.
This new startup has already made progress, securing $4.2 million in seed funding earlier this year, with contributions from High Alpha and Databricks Ventures. Datalinx AI is set to begin generating revenue this month by onboarding its first paying customer and plans to conduct further product testing in the second quarter of 2026.
