Starting in late May, significant alterations will be made to the TV guide and program guide for specific models of Bravia televisions that utilize over-the-air antennas. The updates, affecting models from 2023 to 2025, will eliminate channel logos and thumbnail images from program descriptions, limiting the guide to only display programs from recently viewed channels.
Additionally, users of set-top boxes will see the removal of the dedicated Set Top Box TV menu, which will be substituted with a new Control menu. This transition also means the absence of program thumbnail images in this setup. While the changes may not significantly impact the broader audience given the rise of streaming and cable options, those relying on these features may encounter frustration as their TV guides become less informative.
