In February, subscribers will see new pricing for Spotify as it raises costs across various plans. The changes include increasing the monthly fee for Spotify Premium from $11.99 to $12.99, while the Duo plan will rise from $16.99 to $18.99. Family plans will also see an increase, moving from $19.99 to $21.99, and the Student plan will change from $5.99 to $6.99.
Last month, Apple Music took to social media to jest at Spotify's recent price hike, stating, "BTW, we’re still the same price." This comes at a time when Spotify users have expressed their dissatisfaction online about the new rates. Apple Music currently offers a three-month free trial, available until February 24, making it an attractive option for potential subscribers.
Since its launch in 2015, Apple Music’s individual subscription has remained at $10.99 per month since its last increase in October 2022. In comparison, its Family plan is priced at $16.99, which is notably $5 less than Spotify's updated family offering.
