Harbor Health, a healthcare company based in Austin, has acquired Rippl, a Seattle startup focused on dementia care. The financial terms of the acquisition were not made public. Founded in 2021, Rippl has developed a platform that offers personalized care plans, medication assessments, and 24/7 support for families dealing with dementia.
Rippl aims to enhance the quality of life for seniors with dementia, allowing them to remain at home and minimizing the need for emergency medical interventions. The integration of Rippl’s services into Harbor Health’s offerings will strengthen its approach to managing chronic health conditions. Harbor Health, established in 2022, has also raised significant funding, totaling $130 million in September.
Kris Engskov, co-founder and CEO of Rippl, expressed enthusiasm about joining Harbor Health, stating the collaboration aims to set a new standard in dementia care. Engskov has an extensive background in the healthcare sector, having previously served as president of Aegis Living and held various roles at Starbucks.
Rippl has received investment from notable firms, including ARCH Venture Partners and Google Ventures. Following the acquisition, its services will remain accessible to patients under Harbor Health and affiliated clinics.
