Reports indicate that Apple is set to introduce a new MacBook featuring the A18 Pro chip sourced from the iPhone 16 series. Anticipated for announcement at a March event, this device aims to attract users with its lower price point of approximately $699, significantly less than the $999 MacBook Air.
Unlike earlier models, this upcoming MacBook will utilize an innovative aluminum manufacturing process, avoiding plastic components typically associated with cost-saving measures. The display is expected to be just under 13 inches, with previous indications suggesting a 12.9-inch screen.
In addition to performance and materials, Apple is exploring various color options for the device, including light yellow, light green, blue, pink, classic silver, and dark gray. As the first low-cost MacBook from Apple, this product could appeal to consumers who have found previous Mac offerings too expensive.
